Y-3 Give the adidas Forum Avant-Garde Flair
Who knew that in 2021 we would be witnessing the resurgence of the great ? After hitting shelves last year in uber-rare collaborative colourways, exclusive Friends and Family joints, and clean classic combos, adidas are ready to get weird! Handing the keys to , a collaborative sub-line with adidas under the umbrella, they’ve completely revamped the High, blessing the basketball silhouette with minimalist avant-garde flair.
In classic Yohji Yamamoto style, the Forum has been blessed with a full black look with no contrasting hits in sight. The most notable change to the regular Forum High construction would have to be the massive zip that wraps all the way around the silhouette, with the zipper connected via a string to a removable velcro strap fastened to the other side. Minimal branding has been placed on the lateral side, with only a small adidas logo scripted along the midsole. Along the medial is a subtlety stitched Three Stripes logo. Completing the iteration is the embossed Y-3 logos on the tongue and collar.
The adidas Y-3 Forum High has been locked in to release on April 7 exclusively through the adidas Confirmed app in Europe and North America. You’ll also have to pay a pretty penny for the premium Yohji touches, with the retail price set at $330.
