The Nike  Air Max 90 is preparing to rep a ‘Roswell Rayguns’ colour scheme, with official images revealing the silhouette dressed in the iconic colour combo of black, yellow and red – the latter two colours exuding a certain orange flavour in their mix. An official callout to the fictional ABA team can’t be seen in these picks, but the inspiration seems obvious.

Building on the runaway momentum gathered by its 30th anniversary last year, the Air Max 90 has been keeping the heat going thanks to an interesting range of colourways in 2021 (so far). Noteworthy examples include an onigiri-inspired look, a  speckled scheme, a  St. Patrick’s Day tribute, and even a  Miami  flavour for the golf course.

The AM90’s enviable ability to nail down just about any look is one of many reasons why some sneakerheads think it’s the greatest Air Max design in the Swoosh stable. Sure, that’s a big call, but one of Sneaker Freaker’s very own carefully  stated that argument a while ago. Do you agree?

Pairs of this Air Max 90 with the subtle Rayguns theme are expected to land soon at Nike and select Swoosh stockists.
