After emerging , and initially being dubbed the ‘Oreo’, the ‘White Cement’ colourway now has an official release date. Dropping next month, the clean rendition of Beaverton’s high-performance basketball model is sure to attract sneakerheads with an eye for state-of-the-art technology.
And it seems Nike are in on the ‘Oreo’ theme despite formally naming this version the ‘White Cement’. They’ve described this colourway as a ‘sugarcoated edition’ that features ‘creamy white’ uppers. But you can’t blame them for choosing the new name, because it’s not like the Swoosh stable doesn’t have a long-running connection with the .
A protégé of the , the Adapt BB 2.0 debuted at the , and features Team Swoosh’s FitAdapt laceless technology that keeps your feet snug and secure at the push of a button. It’s the same tech that immediately reminds both sneakerheads and film buffs of the Swoosh’s self-lacing high, high top that wowed audiences when Back to the Future Part II first hit cinemas back in 1989. In fact, Nike leveraged that connection earlier this month with the of this modern baller.
