Update20 May 2024

Nike have confirmed the Nike Sabrina 2 will hit shelves on June 28, with the shoe accompanied by lifestyle apparel. The second iteration of Sabrina Ionescu's signature hoop sneaker builds on the best aspects of the first while also adding upgrades to further progress the performance features. The biggest change is that the Sabrina 2 is a whole 28 grams lighter than 1, and it does this without sacrificing the support, stability and comfort the Sabrina is known for. A plush Cushlon 3.0 foam midsole appears for the very first in a Nike basketball shoe, and it adds the perfect blend of softness and stability since it is contained within a firm Cushlon foam carrier. Nike Zoom Air provides energy return and responsiveness, while a rubber outsole in an 'S'-inspired pattern ensures multidirectional traction for quick cuts.

Several colourways will be released, with some featuring the iridescent mirror finish on the Swooshes, which Nike say are 'an affirmation from Sabrina to the next generation to see themselves in the shoe'.

The Sabrina 2 will be available alongside the apparel collection on June 28.

New York Liberty guard and WNBA All-Star Sabrina Ionescu has been one of the select few with a signature sneaker with Nike. After the success of the Sabrina 1, the Swoosh are now bringing a sequel in the Nike Sabrina 2, which is dropping during the WNBA season.

The Nike Sabrina 1 was a solid on court performer, as the sneaker has been a popular option for those in the WNBA and NBA. The Sabrina 2 once again takes on a low cut form, using a black ballistic mesh upper with purple accents seen on the eyelets and stitching on the rear of the sneaker. Flywire is used to help secure the foot and is seen through the quarter panels just like the Sabrina 1. Sabrina’s logo is seen on the tongue with ‘i’ dotted on the heel and her signature placed on the lateral side of the outsole. An iridescent Swoosh is placed on the lateral side and like the predecessor, a vertical Swoosh is placed on the medial side that extends down into the midsole.

As far as cushioning, it’s still unknown what the Sabrina 2 uses but it looks to be similar to the Sabrina 1, which uses React foam that houses a forefoot Zoom unit. A translucent outsole featuring herringbone in the forefoot and a radial pattern in the heel finishes off the sneaker.

The Nike Sabrina 2 ‘Cave Purple’ is expected to drop on June 28, 2024, hitting Nike’s channels and select retailers for $130. Check out the official photos above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
