The Nike Air DT Max '96 'Varsity Maize' Is High-Stepping in 2024

Update February 26, 2024: Prime Time has been teasing the return of his signature Nike Air DT Max '96 'Varsity Maize' for a bit now, and it looks like Deion's signature sneaker is returning for spring ball. Returning in an OG colourway, the biggest deviation from the original is the addition of Coach Prime's branding on the rear pulltab and his face on the bottom of the heel's outsole.
The sneaker is expected to drop on April 25, 2024 via SNKRS and at select retailers for $170.

Deion Sanders gives a little teaser of the Nike Air DT Max '96 as well as more colourways of the Nike Vapor DT Max ’96 and a cleated version of the Nike Air Diamond Turf. Expect the sneaker to drop sometime in 2024 and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
In July this year, NFL and MLB legend Deion Sanders he was returning to after over a decade of separation. It came after Sanders was appointed as head coach at the University of Colorado since he was contractually obliged to wear Nike for this position. Many fans were excited at the reunion, with hopes this would mean the return of the . Now, we have been blessed with just that, with the set to return in the OG ‘Varsity Maize’ colourway in 2024.
The OG colourway was first released in 1996 during his tenure with the Dallas Cowboys and last retroed in 2018. It features a clean black and white colourway that is accented by 'Varsity Maize' throughout. The signature claw marks are seen throughout with a midfoot strap for lockdown, as a subtle Diamond Turf logo is placed on the tongue. A large Air Max unit is featured in the heel with a white midsole finishing off the sneaker.
