It's been a relatively quiet stretch on the Kanye West front – the rapper and designer is reportedly taking some time to 'work on himself' after spending most of the early days of 2022 antagonizing Kim Kardashian's new love interest Pete Davidson on social media. Though the temporary silence from West's shenanigans is undeniably blissful, we're getting some more than welcome news on the West x adidas front, as the Yeezy line is set to drop a new 'Granite' colourway of the Yeezy 500.

First rumoured back in March, the 'Granite' throws it back to the earliest days of the Yeezy 500, with a tonal, earth-centric colour scheme that combines various shades of grey atop its mesh, suede and leather build. This ethos is followed on the bottom half, with the signature KB8 III-style adiPRENE midsole done up in a similar grey shade.

The relatively simple colour scheme employed on the 'Granite' is a return to low-key form for the Yeezy line, which in recent weeks had been revealing much more colourful models like the Yeezy BOOST 700 'Hi-Res Red' and the Yeezy 700 V3 'Fade Carbon.' The 'Granite' is slated for a May 14 drop via the adidas webstore and Yeezy Supply, and will retail for $210 USD.
