Tropical Popsicle 'Guava Ice' Hits the Pegasus Premium
Just like the winged horse for which it's named, Nike's Pegasus series has been about lightness of load and swiftness of foot since the first shoe launched in 1983. It makes sense, then, that the coolest colourways of 2025's coveted Premium model are classed as literally 'cool' on the colour wheel, and are evocative of fleet movement: breezy lavender, airy white, and green as serene as a Galapagos sea lion.
To get to Nike's delectable new 'Guava Ice' palette from the Islands, we paddle north a bit until we hit Panama, where the colourway's namesake fruit grows aplenty. The Swoosh have doused the Peg Premium's silhouette in this blushing hue – though, like the 'Atmosphere' and 'Persian Violet' colourways of April, they've opted to highlight the upper's stripe by blanching it a tone paler than its surroundings.
If you're new to the Peg Premium, here's your cheat sheet. Nike lifted the cloche on the model during its Paris ‘On Air’ event last year, and 'heads were duly wowed by this techy new sister in the already iconic Pegasus running lineage. Upgraded with a full-length, sculpted visible Air Zoom Unit, the shoe offers a super efficient stride, carrying you from heel strike to toe-off. Additional cushioning comes from both ReactX and ZoomX foam which sit in the heel and midsole respectively, and work in harmony to produce a level of energy return that upstages all other Pegasuses(eses?) in the series. The upper's circular knit promotes breathability, and there's extra buttressing in the medial and lateral forefoot to give your toiling tootsies the support they need.
No set-in-stone date for the Nike Pegasus Premium 'Ice Guava' release just yet, but we're expecting a drop pretty soon – in women's sizing and likely priced at $220.
