Nike was lauded for the recent SNKRS Showcase, which revealed the Swoosh’s upcoming performance basketball lineup. The encore was no letdown. This afternoon at the WNBA All-Star practice, Dallas Wings Guard Paige Bueckers debuted a model not included in the showcase–the Nike GT Cut 4. With this unveiling, Nike continues to lean into the next generation of basketball product and players, a focus which began with the LeBron NXXT Gen. Adding the GT Cut 4 to the already impressive group displayed in the showcase sets up this fall as a pivotal season for Nike Hoops.

The Nike GT Cut line has been very popular amongst hoopers. It is, perhaps, the most successful non-signature Nike Basketball line since the Hyperdunk. The showcase, which offered a couple of colourways of the original Nike GT Cut 1 that are soon to be released, made no mention of this latest iteration. The GT Cut 4 that Bueckers sported is a more futuristic and aggressive take on the GT Cut line, while maintaining the DNA of the fan favourite. The pair she wore was an iridescent blue/purple upper. The most striking feature is the ridges running along the lateral side. The midsole and cut remain true to the GT Cut line; it is the upper that stands out as innovative yet reminiscent of Nike Hoops history, similar to the GT Future.

No release or tech information is available at this time, but Nike teased the sneaker online in addition to Paige rocking them on the court. Look for these to drop in late 2025 or early 2026.
