Following announcements earlier this year of the somewhat unexpected partnership between Denmark’s Soulland and China’s Li-Ning, both parties have finally teased the resulting creations at Copenhagen Fashion Week: the Shadow and the Wind Ranger.

Cleanly cut clothing aside, the Shadows are the centre of attention here at Sneaker Freaker. ‘What are thooose?’ – in the best way possible. No one else is executing crazy concepts like this, and it’s largely due to the gaping cut-out in the midsole that’s made from interesting-looking foam. Up top is a very sleek upper in ripstop nylon and not a single stitch can be seen. It’s all welded and very aerodynamic. Because, you know, cheating the wind is very important when going down the runway or sidewalk. The Wind Ranger adopts relatively 'conventional' design cues compared to the Shadow, namely due to its solid midsole and running shoe styling, but with a teched-out twist. Both sneakers complementary shades of pale white and sharp orange accents. Very clean.

These two colabs are crazy cool – stay tuned for more information as it emerges.
