Did the Knicks Inspire this Nike Air Max Plus Colourway?

Following the massive Patta news and this camouflage colourway, Nike have just revealed their latest Air Max Plus and it could have been inspired by the New York Knicks.

The infamous TN has dominated sneaker headlines this year thanks to the healthy influx of new and old colourways, plus rumours of an OG returning. Nike has made retro releases a priority, bringing back the 1999 ‘Rainbow’, ‘Light Year Blue’ from 2008 and ‘Petrol Blue’ now known as ‘Celestine Blue’.

For Team Swoosh’s latest Tuned venture they’ve decked out the mesh uppers in white with signature gradient veins in the New York Knicks’-style blue and orange combo. The midfoot shank also boats the tones perfectly contrasting against the bright orange Air unit and white midsole.
