First Look at the adidas Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT 'Slate Bone'

adidas Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT 'Slate Carbon'

Kanye West and adidas have been slowly but surely introducing more Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT colourways into the Yeezy line, and after colourways like 'Slate Carbon' and 'Slate Red' touched down earlier this year, we're now getting a new 'Slate Bone' makeup. Besides the fact that the Yeezy design team seems to love putting 'Slate' in the title of every CMPCT so far, the 'Slate Bone' is quite unlike its predecessors as it's the first CMPCT to take on a light grey hue.

As seen in the photo above and video below from @rlkicks_88, the 'Slate Bone' features a highly-textured Primeknit upper that uses various shades of grey and is equipped with a swooping collar plus thick laces. Down below, bulbous white midsoles chock-a-block with BOOST cushioning round off the look.

We're still waiting on a release date for the adidas Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT 'Slate Carbon,' but it's likely to release in the next few months and will retail for $230. It's arriving during a time of flux and evolution for Yeezy as a whole, with legendary designer Steven Smith moving away from Yeezy footwear – where he created models like the Yeezy BOOST 700, Yeezy 500 and Yeezy 450 – to work as the head of the DONDA Industrial Design team. Future forward!
