After rumours of an A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 12 colab began to swell earlier in the week, AMM founder James Whitner confirmed 'em in the most direct way possible: by wearing a pair. Whitner was the most recent guest on the Complex Sneakers podcast, and he pulled up for the podcast's taping rocking the 'Black/Burgundy Crush' colourway.

One of two colourways supposedly releasing later this year alongside a 'White/Burgundy Crush' pair, the 'Black/Burgundy Crush' shows off A Ma Maniére's knack for refinement, perfected on prior colabs like their Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with a wild colour scheme or loud, in-your-face details, it highlights the AJ 12's signature details by dressing the upper in subtle black nubuck and giving the mudguard a shaggy suede 'Burgundy Crush' makeover. Michael Jordan's 12th signature sneaker is known for its two-tone colourblocking schemes – think the 'Taxi,' 'Playoffs' and 'Flu Game' – so it appears as if Whitner's team wanted to elevate that familiar visual language to the highest possible level of luxury!

Neither A Ma Maniére or Jordan Brand have confirmed a date of arrival for these co-created Air Jordan 12s, but sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz indicates that both the 'Black/Burgundy Crush' and 'White/Burgundy Crush' will be dropping on November 17. There are also reports of an A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4 colab dropping in November that have been making the rounds on the sneaker interwebs, but those are currently unconfirmed. Stay tuned for official details as soon as they're available!
