While the renaissance of retro tennis shoes in casual wear continues, Nike hasn't stopped innovating for the future with new performance-focused models. It's a weird thought that this Zoom Cage 2, with its lightweight cut-out cage shell and mesh base design, not to mention that rubber hoof-shaped heel panel to aid agility, would be considered slightly absurd to wear on-court if you were serious about your craft, but that's likely the fate that awaits it. Yep, in 20 years time this new pinnacle in tennis footwear could just be considered a dope casual pair to wear with jeans. Or maybe our tastes will stay stuck in the 80s and 90s forever.
