Back when the Reebok Pump ruled the roost Nike experimented with their own inflatable wonder, the high and mighty Air Pressure. Inflated by a hand pump injected into a heel nozzle, the Air Pressure system never quite hit the mark with hoops heads. But the legend of this skyscraper of a shoe lived on, and is embodied in these new Air AP1s. Fusing the Air Pressure upper onto the ever fashionable Jordan III sole, the AP1 may not be loaded with it’s predecessor’s audacious airbags, but it still bears a tiny belly-button on the heel that’s a throwback to the Pressure’s original air valve. Harking back to an era when technology was trumps, the Air AP1 is available now at mita sneakers.
