Back in the mid 80s, an eon before the Air Presto and the Free Run debuted, Nike released the Sock Racer, a barefoot-inspired runner for triathletes that still looks eye-poppingly outrageous today. Nearly 30 years on, the Sock Racer is (almost) set to return, though it’s in the form of a hybrid remake, fusing the iconic bendy Free sole with a neoprene upper to create this Nike Free Sock Racer mash-up.
