Prepare to rev those engines as PUMA and Porsche have teamed up to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911! While the German sports car giant are commemorating the release with a brand new edition of the legendary sports car known as the 911 S/T, they’re also set to mark the occasion by curating two dynamic and limited edition takes of the Big Cat’s Palermo and the Rider FV – saluting the impressive history of the 911 while also celebrating its exciting future ahead.

As one of the most storied car models in history, PUMA and Porsche are nodding to the 911’s lavish past on the Palermo. As such, the Palermo has been constructed with premium tonal light blue leather uppers – one of the most famous colour schemes to hit the 911. It is then polished off with suede overlays and classic gum outsoles. Bringing a touch of contrast is the red outerstitching and mismatched laces on the right pair. In addition to the build, the pairs have of course been adorned with subtle yet striking details.

As the sneaker is limited to 1972 pairs – a reference to the birth year of the Porsche 911 S 2.5 – each pair has been individually marked with the number located on an attached leather tab. On the tongue, you’ll find a woven grill badge that bears the 60 Years of Porsche 911 logo, which appears again on the brown leather hang tags.

Matching the modern and sporty persona of the Porsche 911 S/T comes PUMA’s Rider FV. Naturally, the speedy colourway has been inspired by the newest 911, wearing shades of grey across the smooth leather uppers. As the palette is based on the anniversary car’s exterior, cognac brown lines the Rider FV’s interior. As a tribute to the first generation of the Porsche 911 that was released in 1963, a total of 1963 pairs are in existence and the birth year can be found on the heel tabs.

The individual numbering can also be found beneath the tongues, which also happen to bear the pattern of the vehicle seats. Like its Palermo counterpart, the pairs also feature dedicated grill badges and specialised hang tags.

It's time to shift into sports mode as the Porsche x PUMA collaboration is on the horizon. A special launch and exclusive pre-sale will power into the IAA Mobility in Munich today. The collaboration will also be available to order via the Porsche online store, as well in the Porsche Museum store in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and the Porsche factory stores in Zuffenhausen and Weissach. Both pairs will also see a release via PUMA US on September 14 and from September 24 in Europe. Find more information at the links below.
