Overseen by Belgian director Lionel Goldstein, the skaters were given a very thinly veiled storyline, to write and direct a film about a "truth" in their lives, whether it be about women, vomiting, or any mishaps that have taken place in the boys time on the Nike SB Team. "Nothing But The Truth" features skate legends Paul Rodriguez, Brian Anderson, Gino Iannucci, Stefan Jonoski, Omar Salazar, Chet Childress, Reese Forbes, not to mention the rest of the SB team and we the audience are promised an insightful but sometimes awkwardly painful birds eye view into just what goes down in the world's best skate team. Filmed on location in the Santa Clarita Valley and with original music provided by Mark Mothersbaugh, this is the first full length film ventured into by Nike SB, so I'm sure we can expect a lot of tomfoolery and shenanigans as the team strip away all their personal inhibitions to bring us "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth". Never fear, there also promises to be stacks of skating and tricks thrown in for your viewing pleasure!
The premiere of "Nothing But The Truth" will take place in Los Angeles at the famed Kodak Theatre on October 2nd, with a world tour commencing shortly after, before stopping off at Sneaker Freaker's hometown Melbourne on October 10th. Stay tuned for more details.
