Closer Look: Nike Air Max Plus 'Sandy Beach'

The Nike Air Max Plus has enjoyed a stunning resurgence in recent years. Always popular in style enclaves across Sydney, Paris and London, the cult classic model has received several collaborations of late to bolster its reputation on a more mainstream level, including partnerships with Supreme, A-COLD-WALL*, Patta and Barcelona FC.

The latest in-line colourway recalls Sean McDowell’s original design conceptions that made the shoe what it is today, with the faux sand-caked soles and rainbow gradient reminiscent of the palm trees and Florida beach that inspired the TN.

Teased by @jw0574, the colourway incorporates a rainbow-hued gradient fade across the uppers, including shades of orange, red, blue and teal. A shaggy suede mudguard appears to extend to the heels, while a subtle, transparent TPU cage and Swoosh allows other design elements to surface.
