G-SHOCK THE WORLD SYDNEY PARTY RECAP

Shock the World rumbled its way to Sydney recently with an A-list of over 1000 G-heads flocking to the vast Carriage Works arts precinct for a spectacular night. Hosted by fashion guru Jonathan Pease, the evening featured a very special guest appearance by the man who made it all happen, Casio engineer and pioneer of the very first G-shock, 'G-Father' Kikuo Ibe! A throng of famous TV stars, radio personalities, models and sporting identities partied down to smoking sets by Australian DMC champion DJ Dexter, Sydney girls HOOPS DJs and Sneaker Freaker’s own M.A.F.I.A.! There were eye-jarring acts by physical performers, including a blistering exhibition of traditional Japanese Taiko drumming. To top it all off a gaggle of G-Shocks frozen into an ice sculpture were removed by chainsaw while hundreds of balloons rained from the ceiling, some containing a cargo of uber exclusive G-bangers!! All in all it was quite a night… peep some of the G-clad craziness below courtesy of Polite in Public, X-Drift and the Sneaker Freaker Panda!
