DJ Mars is a man who keeps mad busy and is full of dope ideas, and we definitely hope his latest brain child gets the go-ahead. He’s hooked up with a couple of co-conspirators in Briil Ndiaye and Maurice Garland to plan out a new book called ‘The Art Behind The Tape’. The book will focus on the rise of the mixtape as a way of breaking new hip hop acts, and will specifically look at the artwork on the CDs that would be passed around like contraband. Check out more details on the project over at Kickstarter and give generously if you’re feeling the vibe!
