Nike's new ad shows a young LeBron heading into a tattoo parlour and requesting some 'Chosen 1' ink. The King's fans will recognise the design as LeBron's present-day back tatt. For those not in the know, LeBron got the tattoo after Sports Illustrated deemed him 'The Chosen One' on the cover of their February 2002 issue.

Jacques Slade unboxed something a little different this week — a custom sneaker that tells the tale of modern slavery. The sneaker was made by The Shoe Surgeon and is plastered with grim facts about the amount of slaves at work today (40 million) and the amount of fashion companies complicit in the slave trade (71 per cent).

Harking back to the 90s, this series of Nike Zoom commercials – group therapy for the world's fastest people, where they learn 'It's OK to be fast' – is straight-up awesome, and most likely informed the new-gen 'Shoe Therapy' ad featuring Swoosh golden boy Sean Wotherspoon and a cohort of sponsored sneaker addicts.
