Reebok

Reebok

Founded in 1958 by Joe and Jeff Foster, Reebok have undergone a transformative journey, evolving from a modest British footwear company to a global athletic brand. The Reebok Freestyle, introduced in 1982, broke new ground as the first athletic shoe designed specifically for women, capturing the spirit of the aerobics craze of the era. At the time, their cross trainer dominated the sneaker scene, with other major brands like Nike left reeling while trying to understand the female market. Reebok's Pump technology set them apart as well, which allowed wearers to customise the fit of their shoes with inflatable chambers and was made famous when Celtics Guard Dee Brown stopped before executing a perfect dunk.
