Peter Moore
Peter Moore first worked with Nike in 1977 via his design agency, before joining the brand as its first ever creative director in 1983. He is best known for designing some of the Swoosh’s most important models, including the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, Air Force 1, and Dunk, all of which revolutionised the sneaker scene in the 1980s and remain as staples today. He created both the famous ‘Wings’ logo and the Jumpman logo, even though the latter didn’t appear until Tinker Hatfield’s AJ3. Moore left Nike for adidas in 1987, and he passed away in 2022.
