Yohji Yamamoto's James Harden-Inspired Collection Gets A Release Date
Brands collaborating with basketballers is standard practice these days, but it's not often that you see an entire collection inspired by a player. ’s latest collection takes as its muse and offers up an apparel collection alongside three Beard-inspired shoes. Harden is known for his snappy off-court dressing, so as odd as it seems the collection makes sense.
The capsule features the futuristic BYW BBall dressed in off-white, as well as a blacked-out Banshyo and a monochromatic Tangutsu that both sport embroidered Botan flowers. The bloom, which features heavily in Japanese art, is a running theme through the apparel collection, scattered across the hoodies, jackets and shorts. Considering its athletic inspiration, the collection is unexpected — but it screams Yohji, and we like it.
