Yep, Seriously: This Hugo Boss Sneaker is Made from Pineapple
Tapping into the booming and vegan movements, Hugo Boss designed a sneaker made with Piñatex, a natural-based material made from pineapple leaf fibres. The fibres are harvested as a byproduct of existing agriculture and require no extra resources to grow, resulting in farming communities receiving additional income — it’s a win-win.
Made in Italy, the sneaker’s new-age textile upper is coloured using natural plant-based dyes, with organic cotton laces and breathable cotton-linen blend lining adding to the casual vibe. Down below, the sole unit is constructed with recycled TPU, making the sneaker entirely vegan.
Dropping in four colourways, you’ll also get a fully recyclable and biodegradable box made from 100 per cent recovered fibre.
