Japanese streetwear stalwarts White Mountaineering have teamed up with the Three Stripes again for two modernised adidas Superstar BOOST colourways. Ditching their signature outdoor-inspired aesthetic in favour of bright pops of colour, this release caters more to the city-slickers, rather than the all-terrain aficionados.
In addition to a mélange knit upper and iconic Superstar rubber shell toe, the sneaker boasts a BOOST-cushioned midsole for improved energy-return. Leather lining is accompanied by multicoloured Three Stripes and graphic details by White Mountaineering. A herringbone-pattern rubber cupsole lends a classy touch.
Following releases such as the earthy-hued NMD R2 and EQT 93-17, the new White Mountaineering x adidas Superstar BOOST represents a trek into unfamiliar territory for the brand. It remains to be seen whether sneakerheads will join ‘em for the hike.
Both colourways of White Mountaineering x adidas Superstar BOOST are currently available at select adidas retailers like Sneaker Politics.
