The isn’t a chunky techno shoe to begin with, so to its deconstructed form is a truly minimal experience. Rather than stacking layers upon layers, the upper is made from a few smooth panels with stitched detailing across the sides and up the ankle. Taking advantage of the smooth canvas, Vans have drawn on the material itself for character – a woven fabric with muted tones of red, brown and blue gives the shoe grunge aesthetic.
