The Golden State Warriors will get a special custom Air Jordan 1 courtesy of none other than The Shoe Surgeon. The custom king will craft just six pairs of the Jay, which pays homage to the franchise’s six NBA championships.
Made with game-used nets and parts of the team jersey, the sneaker comes dressed in trademark GSW blue, yellow and white shades. A heel loop, exposed Flywire (perhaps nodding to the Golden Gate bridge), and a unique lacing system, are distinctive upgrades to the standard AJ1 construction. Meanwhile, the leather tongue patch gets the team logo, while an embossed ‘Strength in Numbers’ motif is placed on the side of the ankle collar panel, replacing the familiar Wings logo. Look to the heel and you’ll find more embossed details, with the team’s championship-winning years on display for all to see.
No release details have been revealed, but you can expect them to hit The Shoe Surgeon’s official website real soon.
