Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are set to open their 2019/20 NBA campaign in their newfangled San Francisco arena against the Los Angeles Clippers and, to celebrate, Curry and Under Armour have officially taken the wraps off of the Curry 7.
Specially built for the star guard's one-of-a-kind play, the new low-top design is highlighted by an upper of translucent layering applications that combine breathable mesh with leather overlays and TPU reinforcements throughout. A decoupled heel also allows for a natural range of motion.
As for the midsole, a flexible plate acts as a stability-providing moderator between layers of shock-absorbing, energy-returning HOVR foam and firm, responsive Micro G – a Curry staple since he first began lacing up UA footwear in 2013. Finally, the outsole sports a herringbone-patterned traction system of variable heights in order to offer incremental levels of grip depending upon the force applied.
The Curry 7 debuts in a special 'UNDRTD' colourway on November 1.
