After she called out Steph Curry and Under Armour for not making Curry 5s for girls, nine-year-old fan Riley Morrison has inspired Steph and UA to drop a special edition of the Warriors star's latest signature kicks.
Dubbed 'United We Win', the purple take on the Curry 6 arrives just in time for International Women's Day and comes with details like a marbled sole and insoles designed by Morrison herself. A second insole can even be customised with a picture of the wearer.
'I was immediately impressed when I saw Riley's letter; that a nine-year-old girl had the courage to use her voice to call attention to an issue and keep us accountable. She was focused on the opportunity for ALL girls, not just herself,' says Curry. 'She's been an amazing catalyst for change — not only with my product but also with the entire Under Armour brand. She is inspiring, and wise beyond her years.'
The 'United We Win' design is available now via underarmour.com and at a special pop-up shop in Oakland.
