KangaROOS are reinterpreting luxury through a feel-good lens. The team behind the German shoe brand have just debuted their latest homegrown release as part of their fall/winter collection and, this season, the focus is on sustainability.
The RAGE 'Superplum' is made from a combination of supple Italian calf leather and PET Tec Mesh, the latter of which is made using recycled plastic drink bottles. This high-tech mesh is made using latest recycling techniques, reducing CO2 emissions by as much as 50 percent, as well as saving energy, lowering exhaust gases and reducing waste.
The 'Superplum' features a juicy purple upper inspired by the arrival of plum season in Deutschland and, in keeping with the homegrown theme, each pair comes packaged with a jar of homemade plum jam, made by a group of local women from a village located near KangaROOS's German factory.
The KangaROOS RAGE 'Superplum' releases October 27 through select retailers, including 43einhalb, Afew, Footshop, Hanon and Overkill.
