Jordan Brand have dipped into their commercial archive to inform a new pair of Air Jordan 1s. Dubbed the ‘Man Was Not Meant to Fly’, these Jays reference 29 seconds of retro glory in which Michael Jordan takes off – jet sounds included – to perform his signature dunk. (They’re also uniquely relevant for Jordan-lover DJ Khaled, whose fear of flying relegated him to land and sea for 10 years. Look it up.)
The release is wrapped in Chicago’s black, red and white, and have elephant-level wrinkles over leather uppers.
While mankind wasn’t meant to fly, it was meant to be fly. Live out your biological destiny and grab these from Nike this November.
