Nike and Kevin Durant appear set to continue the proud tradition of honouring Durant’s Aunt Pearl, this time with a bright pink iteration of the KD 11. Created in conjunction with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, the latest KD 11 drop pays homage to the key figure in Durant’s life that sadly passed away when he was just 11 years old.
The latest ‘Aunt Pearl’ silhouette joins a long list of similarly-themed kicks, as Durant continues his run as one of the most prominent players in the NBA. In fact, the theme first hit his signature kicks way back in the days of the KD6. In addition to the eye-catching all-pink design, you’ll also spot the names of 59 individual cancer survivors on the insole and heel.
If you want to rock kicks with a conscience on the hardwood, the ‘Aunt Pearl’ KD 11 will drop on February 14 via Nike SNKRS and Swoosh basketball stockists.
