Two years after Nike pumped out Zoom tech in 1995, a nascent neon Nike Air Zoom Talaria stole the hearts of harriers everywhere. In a time when the visible air was bubble trend was popping off; the shoe played coy and hid its bubble underfoot with a translucent sole, and when shoes were being hit with myriad colours and layers; the shoe took two-tone and ran with it.
NikeLab hyped the release a few weeks ago by setting up an answering machine with a message voiced by Tinker Hatfield that stated the shoe's release date. Only one official image was available at the time and we had to posit whether we were in fact going to get a re-up of the OG colourway. Well, as you can see here, it happened. And not only did we get the neon, NikeLab are offering a white/black and a white/blue option as well, all with revised materials to bring the shoe into a modern era.
The NikeLab Air Zoom Talaria will be hitting NikeLab from March 31.
