The New Balance 990v5 is Releasing Very Soon

As its latest tagline suggests, the   has become of culture-transcending silhouette for the ages. Now, its fifth incarnation — the 990v5 — has been revealed, coming through subtle upgrades that will propel the versatile sneaker to .

No surprises in terms of the palette, with NB grey the hue of choice on the pig suede upper. Performance upgrades come via the new TPU power strap, Ortholite inserts, and tweaked branding on the tongue and foxing. Strategically placed mesh panels improve breathability, while reflective accents add some welcome luminance.

The New Balance 990v5 is set to drop in North America on April 6 in grey, navy and black colourways, with a global roll out scheduled for May 4. If those colours don’t tickle your fancy, you’ll be able to customise your own pairs from July 14.
