The Michelin x Vans Sneakers Promotes Safe Driving

Automobile accidents are the number one killer of teens in the United States. According to an analysis by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, of the country's 2.2 million car accidents, 300,000 involve teen drivers and tyre issues such as worn treads or over/under inflated tyres.

To bring awareness to the issue, Michelin partnered with on a limited edition and . The models feature blue and white checkerboard uppers with yellow details, and the Michelin man's face smiling out from each square.

Apparently, the chairman and president of Michelin North America, Scott Clark, realised teens were most receptive to messages about driver safety when communicated through sneakers.
