Concepts’ creative director Deon Point has taken to the ‘Gram to share a sneak peek at the retailer’s latest collaborative New Balance 997S. Originally featured in Sneaker Freaker’s money-can’t-buy 997 Book, the pic gives us a detailed look at the purp’ n pink sneaker’s chunked-out, contemporary sole unit.
Following up on KITH’s three-way link-up with nonnative and United Arrows, Boston-based Concepts comes through with the most vibrant addition to the 997S lineup yet. Adding to the upper’s Purple and Pink are subtle Orange hits along the White outsole, while a touch of NB grey also makes an appearance. A modern rework of the OG 997, the S introduces a neoprene sock collar and a more lightweight build to cater to progressive sneaker palates.
No murmurs of an official release date yet, but we’ll bring intel on the Concepts x New Balance 997S as soon as it surfaces. In the mean time, be sure to check out our exclusive interview with Deon from our 997 Book.
