Following a stop in Chicago, the Air More Uptempo is hitting the road and heading south to Atlanta. A new version of Scottie Pippen's iconic in-your-face silhouette has emerged with the abbreviation 'ATL' stepping in for the standard 'AIR.'
Given Pippen's 11-year stint with the Bulls, it only made sense for a red and black Uptempo to emerge in honour of Chicago. So why Atlanta, you might ask? While Nike have yet to formally announce the special edition make-up and provide its back story, it seems likely that the colourway is a reference to the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games, where Pippen took home a gold medal as part of Team USA. This reasoning would also explain the sneaker's green and gold colour scheme.
No release date for the Nike Air More Uptempo 'ATL' has been announced at this point, but you can count on us to keep you posted with all the latest updates.
