The Air Max 270 hasn’t even hit feet yet, but already Nike are revealing tweaks and rejigs of the style. Riding this wave, the brand have just unveiled a 270 that proudly flaunts its Air Max 180 parentage.
This version keeps the hybrid Air/foam midsole of other 270s, but its upper bears more than a passing resemblance to the original 91 model. The OG’s exaggerated tongue reappears in sock-fit form and 180-esque suede panelling gives Nike’s new silhouette a decidedly retro feel.
The original 90s tongue logo cements this shoe’s pedigree. Releasing first in a clean white and grey, we will no doubt see more colourways emerging from the woodwork.
Look out for these from March 2.
