The sneakerboot has taken off in a big way in recent years, enticing brands to overhaul classic models to tackle the worst of winter. It's a move that often comes at the expense of some pretty considerable cosmetic changes to the original silhouette, but Jordan Brand are set to change convention with one of the most visually subtle sneakerboot upgrades to ever hit the market.
Arriving just in time for the change in seasons, the Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG equips the classic Jay with true winter-ready modifications, including rugged lugged outsoles and D-ring metal eyelets. The upper's extensive perforations have been removed, instead replaced with raised bumps to keep water out without sacrificing aesthetic appearance. The debut colourway is based upon the classic 'Olive' AJ9 — a fitting choice given the make-up's boot-like appearance.
The Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG 'Olive' will debut on December 6 through select select retailers.
