It’s Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals; the Chicago Bulls are down by a point with seven seconds remaining. Enter Michael Jordan, who seized the moment to make one of most famous shots in basketball history, not only winning the game, but securing a Chicago three-peat in the process. It was MJ’s last play with the Bulls, earning it the nickname ‘The Last Shot’. Now, 20 years on, the iconic Air Jordan 14s he wore that night are set to return.
Retroed in 2005 and again in 2011, the Air Jordan 14 ‘Last Shot’ is back with the familiar jet black makeup that made it a fan favourite. The brooding dark tones up top are contrasted perfectly with red branding and a yellow Jumpman badge on the lateral side.
The 20-year anniversary pair pays homage to the past, but Jordan Brand are also looking to cater to modern ballers with a matching Air Jordan 32 Low ‘Last Shot’. With a progressive upper construction and FlightSpeed Zoom Air sole unit, they’re the sneakers MJ wishes he could’ve rocked in the 90s.
The Air Jordan 32 Low ‘Last Shot’ drops on June 9, with the iconic AJ14 to follow on June 14. Be sure to head to Nike.com and selection Jordan Brand retailers to secure your piece of history.
