The adidas POD-S3.1 Puts On a Grey Display
The system is the latest weapon in the fight against sole-unit stagnation, pushing the limits of conventional understanding by combining a BOOST heel unit with an EVA forefoot. As if that weren’t enough, the Stripes even went so far as to bridge the gap with a piece of brightly coloured plastic for added stability (that means more speed). The upper has a simple mesh construction, utilising a folded ribbon in place of a lacing system that might be construed as being over-designed.
There’s a ‘Grey Two’ version on the way (whatever happened to good old grey one?), which is a perfect option for all those intimidated by too much colour.
