The Valentine’s Day–themed StrangeLove Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low has the sneakersphere smitten ahead of its official release, but fans of the collaboration will have to wait a little longer for their pairs – the retailer’s online release has been cancelled!
StrangeLove was set to launch the pair on their webstore on February 1, but they’ve decided to withhold pairs due to bots infiltrating the release. Considering they’ve gone to great lengths to get pairs to their most loyal supporters, we trust their decision came from the heart.
Inspired by Sean Cliver’s love affair with skateboarding, the sneaker is constructed with crushed velvet base layers and pink suede overlays. The design also features co-branded tongues, and the signature ‘Heart Skull’ graphic on the heel. Meanwhile, the box takes cues from Valentine’s Day cards shared in elementary school, coming with a whole host of goodies including artwork, a custom card, and decals.
The StrangeLove Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low will now hit select retailers and skate stores on February 7. Stay tuned for a comprehensive store list!
