In the final days of 2015, Solebox founder Hikmet Sugoer announced he was parting ways with the Berlin-based sneaker boutique. Highly praised for his collaborative efforts in his time with Solebox, Hikmet has directed his focus towards sneaker design, launching his own label, SONRA. The first model to be released by the brand is the low-cut runner-inspired Proto. Comfort and quality reign paramount, with the shoe made in Germany from locally-sourced vegetable-tanned leather that has been purposely selected to eliminate the possibility of skin irritation. For the Proto's debut, SONRA have created a special 'BAE' make-up, short for 'Before Anyone Else'. Just 100 pairs of the soft-pink colourway will be released – each individually numbered – but expect plenty more colourways to emerge as the brand flourishes in 2017.
