UPDATE: Ronnie Fieg has dropped another teaser image of these Gellies on his IG, giving us a good gander at the red, white and blue split tongues. There's word floating about that these kicks have got a World Cup connection, perhaps not an Independence Day vibe as we thought. That would explain the gold dip that brings the World Cup trophy to mind (which isn't actually a cup at all, but is still probably the most boss trophy of all time), but it doesn't explain the American colours, because Team USA has practically no chance of holding that molten gold wonder. Maybe Ronnie is an optimist, good on him, you should join the positivity and put 100 clams on the US to win the tournament, that will pay you back about 15 grand – not bad at all.
You're such a tease, Ronnie. The Gel Lyte don and headmaster of Kith, Mr Fieg has left a sneaky peek trail of his latest colab with ASICS on his Instagram, and it's a gold medal winner for sure. Liberal lashings of the first place tint cloaks the upper of this Gel Lyte III, with blocks of red, white and blue co-starring on the split tongues and heel panels. That colour combo can only mean one thing – these flips are all about national pride, so we're putting money on a July 4 drop for 'em. Stay with Sneaker Freaker as we bring you more pics and release info over the coming weeks.
