Kanye West loves a nice pair of grey New Balances — even to this very day — but in between his allegiances with the Swoosh and the Stripes, there was one grey NB that adorned 'Ye's feet more than any other: United Arrows' 2009 NB997.5 collaboration.
This beautiful runner hybrid, with its exquisite pink and purple pops, has since become an elusive unicorn for NB collectors and Kanye fans alike, but Ronnie Fieg has a solution.
The Kith head honcho has taken to Instagram to share the new NB 997S silhouette dressed in the same colour combination as United Arrows' legendary colab. The image of the homage is simply captioned 'Kith Park™' with a couple of emojis and no UA reference, suggesting the sneaker is part of his upcoming Kith Park™ collection.
Diehard NB fans initially called out Ronnie for apparently stealing United Arrows' design, but he was quick to clarify that the design is an official collaboration with the Japanese streetwear juggernauts.
No release date has been announced yet, but we'll keep you posted!
