It’s been a big year for Ronnie Fieg. 2016 marked the sneaker king’s 50th collaboration with ASICS and the 5th anniversary of KITH. In one of the most anticipated releases in a seriously heated end to the year, Fieg dropped the ASICS GEL-Lyte III ‘Salmon Toe 2.0’, progeny of the OG ‘Salmon Toe’, and the ‘Militia’ with little fanfare. In observance of the occasion, each piece is treated to ‘Made in Japan’ construction and features premium nubuck and pigskin panels traversed by leather Tiger Stripes. Adding to the luxed-out vibe, the sneakers comes housed in a special edition box full of accompaniments such as a pin set, a salmon stress ball, laces and socks.
As expected, the Salmon Toe 2.0 and Militia release sold out almost immediately. Those looking to cop are best advised to search for gratification through the reseller market.
