While JAY-Z is off petting the Big Cat, it looks like his Roc-A-Fella Records are returning to their roots. Back in 2004, JAY-Z’s aspirational raps about a Roc-A-Fella Uptown on ‘As One’ came to life, with Nike making a white AF-1 Low with the label’s branding embroidered on the heel.
The sneaker disappeared into history books and collections, but now an apparent retro has surfaced. So far we’ve only got one image of the pending retro – but with stitched branding at the rear and another logo on the tongue, the shoe looks to stay true to its early-2000s release.
Word is the shoe will be available at this year’s ComplexCon in early November. Stay with us and we’ll let you know if that rumour holds weight.
