UPDATE: The next x drop is almost upon us! And, given that it's the reigning 'Shoe of the Year', this isn't a release you'll want to miss. Soak up these succulent pics from Titolo and then check out their online store where they'll be in stock from December 8.

UPDATE: It's getting closer, Bad Gal fans. The left-field sneaker success of 2016 is capping off the year with one more release – and judging by how vocal potential punters have been of their need for the shoe whenever we post on them – it'll be a hard drop to come by. Stockists are starting to trickle in though, with these new images of the black velvet images coming from Solebox – who will have pairs on hand when they drop on December 8.

12 months ago it would have seemed ludicrous to most of us that creepers, the thick-soled friends of goths and rockabilly fans, would be making a push into mainstream attire. But here we are. Thanks in part to the undeniable pull of a endorsement, and some tasteful takes on the higher-than-most silhouette, creepers have crept into conventional fashion consciousness. After an initial run of two-tone and camo colourways, the Rihanna x will release in an updated range of treatments. The next round of the sneaker will feature a smooth burgundy velvet drop, an almost patent leather ‘Triple Black’ version, a clean ‘Triple White’ leather iteration and is completed by a pair featuring twill uppers in black or cement.

The updated Rihanna x PUMA Fenty Creepers colourways drop on December 8 at select stockists.
