We recently saw rising tennis star Sloane Stephens show off an upcoming sneaker that appeared to be an Air Jordan 8 hybrid with a tennis performance sole. Now we have official product images and more details about the release.
Known as the NikeCourt Zoom Zero Jordan 8, because of its updated sole unit, the multidirectional tread and Zoom cushioning technology works together for a seriously responsive feel. The Air Jordan 8 upper may be overbuilt and retro compared to contemporary designs, but its high cut and lockdown straps still get the job done. Peep the modified ‘93’ embroidery on the left shoe, referencing both the year the AJ8 released, and when Stephens was born.
Locked in for an August 26 release, get your fingers ready for Nike’s webstore and various retailers.
